Soccer Super Star in training! His first season. He had some awesome plays and had such great potential! It will be fun to watch him improve over the next many years!

All my sisters and brother were here over the weekend a couple weeks ago. It was fun to have us all together!
A little snow dusting, but we were afraid we weren’t going to get much more this season.. little did we know just a month later we would be getting 2 more feet! We took advantage anyway!

This is the snow fall we got toward the end of February, looking out our back door.
Our friends invited us to decorate gingerbread houses… er.. graham cracker houses!! Graham crackers are definitely the way to go!! We had a blast!

Becky’s Royal Icing recipe was the perfect consistency and held the houses together so well! I’m writing it here so I know where to find it for the future! :)
Royal Icing:
3 egg whites at room temperature
1/2 t cream of tartar
4 c powdered sugar
Beat for 7-10 minutes. Keep bowl covered under a wet cloth so the frosting doesn't dry out.

We took a roadtrip to AZ for thanksgiving! It was so much fun seeing all the family. My brother-in-law and his family live in Mexico so we only get to see them about once a year. It is always so wonderful when we are together though. I wish I had gotten more pictures but I kept leaving my camera at home or the batter was dead. I got a few on the last day though!
…and then my children got ahold of the camera and started taking random pics…it’s always interesting what they find to shoot!
On the way out of town, we stopped and Jared flew his RC plane for Gma and Gpa to see. Then we took a long drive home!
